For those interested in a career in
the construction industry, you may want to consider concrete management. The concrete industry makes up a 130 billion
dollar segment of the construction industry and employees more than 2 million people. Career opportunities include positions such
as: Production management of concrete block, ready-mixed,
pre-cast/pre-stressed, or pipe plants; Concrete specialists in engineering,
architectural, or construction firms; Technical sales of products or equipment
used in concrete; and Marketing of concrete production, construction, and
finishing equipment.
As one of the foremost commercial
concrete contractors, The Conco Companies are always on the lookout for
talented individuals to fill concrete management positions throughout our
organization. In fact we think the
training for a professional concrete manager is so critical that we became a
founding patron to the only Concrete Industry Management program in the Western
U.S. The California State University, Chico program
not only receives financial assistance from Conco but we also donate our
employees’ time and expertise. In
addition we currently have three full time graduates of the CIM program in our
employment and look forward to hiring future graduates.
The CIM program combines the academic
disciplines of concrete science with business management. Upon graduation, the program states you will
be “prepared to assume a position as an effective manager of the people,
systems, and projects within the thriving concrete industry.” As a business intensive program, it offers
solid management skills that can be used in any industry. Graduates with a CIM
degree also complete requirements for a Minor in Business Administration.
Currently Conco is seeking full-time,
experienced project managers and superintendents for our Northern and Southern California
locations. Please see our website for
complete details regarding all of our job postings and to learn more about The
Conco Companies.
At The Conco Companies, we are one of
the leading concrete contractors in the Western U.S. and offer a wide range of
