Washington Square project

The Conco Companies continue to be in the forefront of providing concrete services on some of the most modern-day projects including the trend toward mixed-use apartment buildings.  This type of building is deliberately located within easy walking distances to shopping, jobs, entertainment and public transportation.  Many mixed-use projects create a small community that is set within a larger urban city.   The intention is to not separate residential and business areas as we used to do, but rather attractively integrate the two.  

Conco’s portfolio of projects includes providing concrete services on Washington Square, a high-rise condominium project.  When it was constructed, the building was the first of a large development complex that was built in the heart of downtown Bellevue.  The two 22-story condo towers were completed in 2008 and have a total of 377 residential units.  Built as a model of urban living, the development boasts a striking landscaped courtyard, tree-lined walkways, and a convenient dog park.  Amenities include concierge services, night doorman, spa, massage rooms, and a fitness center.

Another mixed-use project Conco worked on was the Essex-Elkhorn Court Apartment Homes in San Mateo, California.  The neighborhood is designed to offers amenities and benefits to the residents and the surrounding community. The apartments are attractively orientated to face out to common areas and provide green space for recreational activities.  In a mixed zoning area, it is close to both businesses and public transportation.  The Elkhorn has 197 apartment units and 125,978 square feet of office space with below grade parking. 

The Martin is one more example of a mix-used building that Conco had a part in constructing.  The 24-story luxury apartment tower is located in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood and is adjacent to the Monorail.  In the midtown area, the apartment’s location makes it extremely walkable.  Residents are within walking distance to movies, galleries, restaurants, shopping and recreation and do not need to find parking or use a cab.
