Due
to a growing demand for services, The Conco Companies recently expanded our
operations and opened a new office in Portland, OR. As such we are looking for full-time Project Engineers
to support the Superintendent and Project Manager on assigned projects.
Qualities
desired for the position include being able to work well in a team and have
excellent written and verbal communication skills. Applicants must also have the ability to
manage their time efficiently and be adept at organizing and prioritizing tasks.
As a Conco Project Engineer, your duties will include managing project design documents as well as handling the RFI process throughout the project including the writing, receiving, posting and distributing. Our Project Engineers also manage the submittal process and assist in payroll related activities. Responsibilities also involve helping to coordinate deliveries and inventories, and taking charge of all shortages and fabrication discrepancies for work that needs to be performed.
Additionally
the job requires assisting with coordinating material purchases, their
delivery, and tracking, and forecasting the best utilization of both man-power
and materials. On the job, you will
participate in basic layout and field engineering activities and be ready to
perform other duties as assigned to support the project and Conco.
We
ask that applicants be proficient in Microsoft environment including MS Project,
Bluebeam and Excel and be able to read architectural and structural drawings. Applicants should be competent in current
industry safety practices and technologies.
