Seeking an Experienced Senior Project Engineer for Fontana, California

The Conco Companies are looking for an experienced full-time Senior Project Engineer for our Los Angeles Region.  The preferred qualifications for the position include possessing a Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related program of study, but are NOT a requirement.  We also ask that applicants have a minimum of four years of related construction (vertical, commercial) experience in the local market.  

The job requires a detail oriented person who has the ability to organize and effectively manage multiple tasks.  All applicants should have a basic understanding of construction law and general business practices; be able to work well as a team; and have good communication and problem-solving skills.   

Job responsibilities and duties include developing and distributing RFIs and Change Orders as well as defining and implementing procedures for posting revisions and updates to as-build construction documents.  As Conco Senior Project Engineer, you will be expected to implement the pre-construction quality plan along with manage, create and distribute contract documents.  You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining the following: Material Tracking List, Project Test and Inspection Listing, Concrete Placement Log, Non-Conformance Report.  

In the event that inspection items or test results do not conform to contract requirements, a Senior Engineer is in charge of notifying the Project Manager and Superintendent promptly.  Furthermore, you will be responsible for the mentoring, management, and timely performance evaluation of field engineers.
